Students entering the School of Extended Studies MSBA and MBA program may not have all the necessary prerequisite courses, or as we call them Common Professional Components (CPC), to begin taking classes. The solution to this dilemma is a set of self-paced courses that will bring you to the level of knowledge necessary to enter the MSBA and MBA courses. We offer these at just $150 per course—a fraction of the cost of attending the full semester course.
To register, contact your academic advisor and determine which CPCs you may need. Pay the $150 per course through our online payment center and information will be sent to your Cardinal email address to get you started.
We offer the following CPS for entry into the MBA or MSBA degrees:
Each course is online and consists of a 5 or 6 chapter text in PDF and interactive software. Students will read a chapter of the text and then turn to the software to go through numerous interactive exercises and problems, tutorial screens, a video lecture and a final exam on the chapter. Each chapter takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete. This includes reading the text and completing the interactive software. Student background may determine the completion time of each module.
When the course is completed, the student goes online and takes a 40 question randomly generated comprehensive final exam over the chapters discussed. Students must pass each module with a score of 80% or above. Students are given 3 attempts at the exam. If you cannot pass the exam, you must consider taking the course.
This online class will help a student be eligible to take a national certification test upon completion for Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician jobs.
